The following terms and conditions form the basis for the conclusion of contracts for all courses offered by Language Success on the website www.language-success.com Valid from 20 December 2023.
Course registrations must always be made in writing. Confirmation by e-mail or telephone is considered legally valid. The course fee must be paid before the start of the course or in agreed monthly instalments. The method of payment is determined by the customer upon receipt of the invoice: Bank transfer, or payment by credit card. In the event of non-attendance or cancellation of the course, the course fees will not be refunded.
Language Success offers an instalment plan. If payment by instalments is agreed, the first instalment is due 10 days before the start of the course. The remaining instalments are to be paid in accordance with the instalment plan. As a rule, further instalments are paid automatically every 30 days. Non-payment of the course fees does not constitute cancellation of the contract. A surcharge of CHF 20 is levied per instalment.
Advance payment with a payment deadline of 10 days from the invoice date applies. If no payment is made by the end of the payment period, you will receive a payment reminder free of charge. If the customer does not fulfil his payment obligation even after a payment reminder, Language Success reserves the right to charge a reminder fee of CHF 20 each for the 1st and 2nd registered reminder with a threat of debt enforcement. If payment is still not made, debt enforcement proceedings will be initiated.
Group courses always take place on our premises, unless otherwise agreed. In order to be able to organise courses under optimal conditions, the minimum number of participants is set at two. A maximum of ten participants per course is permitted. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the course will be cancelled. A continuation of the course is only possible with the agreement of the course participants by increasing the course fee or adjusting/reducing the number of lessons. We reserve the right to change the course leader or appoint a deputy, as well as to postpone, combine or reallocate classes.
A Language Success lesson lasts 60 minutes.
Entry to our courses is possible at any time by prior arrangement, subject to availability and previous knowledge. The course price is invoiced from the date of entry.
Cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the course are free of charge and must be notified in writing. Cancellations up to 1 week before the start of the course will be charged 50% of the course fee and less than 1 week 70% of the course fee plus a CHF 100 administration fee. No refunds will be made after the start of the course.
In justified exceptional cases (e.g. serious illness), a credit note for a subsequent course or private lessons may be granted at the discretion of the school management. This credit is valid for four months, after which it expires. Other fees: The VISA registration, cancellation and processing fee is CHF 100.
Group courses:
Group courses cannot be postponed. If a course does not take place during the holidays advertised by Language Success, the cancelled course will be made up and the course duration extended. Missed lessons due to illness or holidays cannot be made up and there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fee.
Private lessons:
Booked private lessons must be cancelled in writing 12 hours in advance (but before 19:00 the evening before) and postponed to a later date. Cancellations made after 12 hours will be charged in full. If the teacher is ill, the course can be cancelled and postponed to a later date or a replacement can be organised on request. Paid but unused lessons will not be refunded or compensated.
Language Success reserves the right, in the interests of the company and its existing clientele, to terminate the contract with the customer in the event of a breach of Language Success values (e.g. any kind of discrimination, racism, aggressive behaviour, etc.) or to find a satisfactory solution.
Once you have attended at least 80% of the course lessons, we will be happy to issue you with a course certificate. At your request, Language Success can issue you with an internal certificate after Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and obtain a certificate. The examination fee is CHF 100. You also have the option of taking the internationally recognised telc examinations (German A1-C2) at Language Success.
The Language Success course materials made available to course participants are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed. Copyright infringements may be prosecuted.
We reserve the right to change our prices, course offers (services) and general terms and conditions at any time.
The protection of your personal data and your privacy is very important to us. For this reason, strict compliance with the statutory provisions and the Data Protection Act is a matter of course for us.
Language Success is not liable for loss, theft or damage to items. In order to cover certain risks, we recommend checking the customer's liability and accident insurance.
The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from and in connection with contracts concluded with Language Success is Zurich. Swiss law is applicable.
